Carpets in Southampton, supplied and fitted
Over 70 carpet ranges from our own Southampton warehouse — twist, loop, berber and 100% wool. Free measuring, fixed written quotes and our own fitting teams.
The same carpet, without the showroom mark-up
Most carpet shops buy from a wholesaler and add their margin before a single metre is measured. We are the wholesaler: carpet arrives at our City Industrial Park warehouse by the roll, and our own fitters put it down. That is the whole reason our prices sit 40–50% below the high street — not a sale, just a shorter chain.
Supply-only carpet starts at £8.30 per square metre including VAT, and you can price your own rooms online in about a minute. Prefer us to handle it end to end? Book a free measure and we'll quote the carpet, underlay, grippers, doorbars and fitting as one fixed price.

Which pile suits the room
Four questions settle most carpet choices: how much traffic, how much mess, how it should feel, and the budget. Here's the short version.
Twist pile
The workhorse, and over two-thirds of what we sell. Tightly twisted fibres that spring back, so footprints and vacuum lines don't show. Right for living rooms, bedrooms, stairs and landings, and the safest choice for a rental.
Loop & berber
Uncut loops give a flatter, more textured, more contemporary look and wear extremely well in hallways and busy rooms. One caution: if you have a cat or a dog that catches claws, choose twist instead.
100% wool
The premium end. Naturally resilient, naturally flame-retardant, and it holds its appearance for years longer than man-made fibre. It costs more up front and repays it slowly — best in rooms you'll keep as they are.
Not sure? Say what the room is and how it gets used — we'll bring the two or three that actually suit it to your free measure, rather than a boot full of swatches.
Why a quote is more than a price per metre
A carpet price by itself doesn't tell you what the job costs, and shops that advertise only the headline rate know it. A fitted carpet needs underlay, gripper rod, doorbars, the old floor lifting and taking away, and the fitting itself. We put every one of those on the quote as a separate line so you can see what you're paying for and compare us honestly with anyone else.
The other half of the price is how the carpet is cut. Carpet comes on 4m and 5m rolls, and a room is charged on the length of roll it takes, not its floor area — so a badly planned 4m room can cost a third more than it needs to. We price every job on both roll widths and use whichever wastes less, which is the single biggest saving on most quotes and one you'll never see itemised anywhere.
- Itemised quotes — carpet, underlay, grippers, doorbars, uplift and fitting, priced separately
- Planned on both roll widths — we charge for the cut that wastes least
- Fixed before we start — the number on the quote is the number you pay
- Old flooring taken away — quoted up front, never a surprise on the day

Frequently asked questions
How much does carpet cost in Southampton?
Supply-only carpet starts at £8.30 per square metre including VAT and runs to around £40 per m² for 100% wool. Fitted prices depend on underlay, grippers, doorbars, uplift and the fitting itself — which is why we quote those as separate lines rather than hiding them in a rate. You can price supply-only carpet for your own rooms on our online shop.
Do you fit the carpet yourselves?
Yes. Our fitters are employed by us, not subcontracted, so the same standards apply on every job and there is one company answerable if anything isn't right.
Can I just buy the carpet and fit it myself?
Absolutely — a lot of our trade counter business is exactly that. Enter your room sizes on the online shop, pay by card and collect it from Southampton, usually within 3–5 working days.
How long does it take from measure to fitted?
For stocked ranges, most homes are measured, ordered and fitted inside a week or two. Rental turnarounds are often quicker because we hold rental-grade carpet in Southampton — tell us the void dates and we'll work to them.
Which carpet is best for stairs?
A heavy-domestic twist pile, almost always. Stairs take more punishment per square metre than any other part of a house, and twist hides wear better than anything else at the same price. It's not the place to buy the cheapest option.
Do you cover my area?
We fit across Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester, Romsey, Totton, Fareham, Portsmouth, the New Forest and into Dorset. See areas we cover or just call us.
